Web Hosting News – Southfield, MI – Nexcess, a popular provider of shared and dedicated Magento, WordPress, and ExpressionEngine hosting, has ushered in the new year with a host of improvements to its hosting packages, particularly relating to the company’s enterprise solutions.
Long reputed for their dedication to providing the best infrastructure on which to deploy Magento, the world’s most popular open source eCommerce platform, Nexcess has extended its range of high end cluster options. The new MCE-SIP-400 package provides some of the best possible response times for eCommerce stores that require an extremely reliable and powerful hosting environment.
The new cluster package incorporates six Dell Power Edge R420 servers with 2 Eight Core E5-2450 Sandy Bridge processors, 24 GB of RAM, and a pair of 73 GB 10K SAS drives behind a Dell Power Edge 1950 load balancer. Application servers in the cluster run from a pair of similarly specced Dell Power Edge R420 database servers, each equipped with four 146GB 15K SAS drives in a RAID 10 configuration, and a Dell R410 file server with four 300GB SAS drives. The basic package can be augmented with optional firewalls, staging servers, SOLR servers, and payment bridge servers.
This updated cluster option also sees the benefit of increased bandwidth provisions, including increased CDN bandwidth. Data usage has been increased to 10,000 GB with 5000 GB of content delivery network bandwidth included.
The MCE-SIP-400 package is intended to serve as the foundation of a flexible and scalable cluster that can be easily extended to cope with increased load by adding new servers configurations as required.
“We’re proud to be able to take care of eCommerce clients of all sizes with maximum performance, up to and including the largest enterprise clients,” enthused Chris Wells, President and CEO of Nexcess, “Coupled with our long experience in Magento hosting, the in-house expertise we’ve developed over the years, and our phenomenal support team, we can confidently say that Nexcess should be first on the list for anyone that’s serious about hosting a Magento site right.”
In addition to the improved cluster packages, Nexcess has also made a variety of updates to the company’s dedicated hosting packages for the new year, including more server power and more bandwidth.
